Haters Gonna Hate, Appreciators Appreciate

It takes more muscles in the face to frown then it does to smile. We've all heard that one before. But did you know what it takes a whole lot more energy to hate then in does to appreciate? To hate, you have to really focus in and find stuff to hate and you have to be on the hunt for it at all times. To appreciate, all you have to do is sit back and find little things to admire about life, about the area around us, the people we run across and the things we notice. Both are self-perpetuating energetic activities but only one of them leads to better health and more connections. 

I told my gym partner today that I would hate someone or something if I had the energy to perpetuate that activity but I just don't. So why bother. It's more fun to appreciate. It's impossible to frown and smile at the same time and the same is true for hate and appreciation. If you have to pick one, pick the one that makes you feel better.
